Here is a bluebird from my backyard...I don't get many pictures of this bird.

This bird certainly was wideyed...this one in particular moves very

fast so it's hard to catch it in a still position.

How fat do doves get?...it appears that this one is getting

a little too close to maximum capacity...POOF!!!

I caught this bird(accidently) in flight!!!

Here are a few sunset pictures after a heavy rain.

Wow!!! What a busy holiday!  Our Christmas and New Years celebrations were great.  I got a 512 MB memory card for Christmas which should help out my photography needs a lot.  I was busy as I’m sure many of you were, cleaning the house for guests, or preparing food...We celebrated with our family on Saturday morning because celebrating on Sunday would have been a little rushed since we would have to go to church early.

If  your reading this entry (which you are.)Your job is to tell me your favorite part about Christmas.  Whether it’s a family tradition or a silly habit…share it!

How about those bowl games! I didn’t see them all, like I bet some of you sports nuts did, but those that I did see were pretty good games.  And for some odd reason I have the tendency to turn on the game just when they get a huge play (like that 86-yard punt return touchdown by FSU for example) or a huge pass of run play.  I might not watch a lot of the game but boy do I know how to come in at the right time.

About  these pictures… Don’t ask me why but I just decided to make this a bird day and put pictures of birds that I’ve taken recently on this entry.  You gotta admit I got variety!

Happy New Year!!!

P.S. If you made a New Year resolution about food,(bad idea) forget it cause you’ll fail sooner or later.  Of course I don’t have to worry about the weight.  See ya!!!

...DUCKS ON THE RUN...                   ...ROOSTER ON THE RUN...

(my camera's zoom travels faster than they do)

No, this bird is not fake... it's just got lot's

of bright colors...I thought it was pretty cool.

Wow!!!  What a weekend.  Beside being busy buying presents and decorating, we had a ice storm here in Georgia!  It froze the trees with a coat of ice and made quite a few trees fall.  The birds come out when it's cold to gather food so I got a few pics, but it was so cold that I couldn't stay outside for long.

If your for some reason wanting to know why it's "stringbean" I personally  don't really know why that's my nickname.  Maybe it's because I'm 6'2" and weigh 115 pounds ???
